Kelvindale Primary School Celebrates its Golden Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament notes the upcoming golden anniversary of Kelvindale Primary School, which was officially opened in January 1966 by Councillor J Douglas Glen and had an initial roll of 248 pupils; further notes that, following an extension in the 1970s, the school now educates 474 pupils from the Kelvindale area and beyond; recognises what it sees as the excellent relationships that the school has forged, both with other educational establishments in the area and the wider community; shares the pride with which the school community celebrates its diversity and the many ways that it contributes to charity; notes the many academic, sporting, environmental and cultural awards that the school has received; congratulates the entire school community on what it considers this important anniversary, and wishes it well.
