Emergency Waiting Times Rise again in Main Glasgow Hospitals

That the Parliament notes with concern that emergency waiting times have risen in Glasgow’s main hospitals; understands that, in the week to 10 January 2016, only 75.9% of patients were treated within four hours at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, 76.3% were treated within the same period at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and that the Scottish average was 88.3%, with 85 patients waiting more than 12 hours in A&E; considers that these figures are well below the Scottish Government's target of 95%; is aware that this is traditionally a busy time for A&E departments, but urges that more must be done to meet the Scottish Government's four-hour target.
