Positive Destinations for Glasgow’s Young People
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the hard work of teachers as it notes that more school leavers in Glasgow are going on to further and higher education, work and volunteering, according to figures from Skills Development Scotland; understands that this is the first time that Glasgow has broken the 90% mark of pupils going on to positive destinations; notes the finding that the gap between the national figures of school leavers going on to higher education and Glasgow's figures is at its lowest at 4.4%, and believes that the number of pupils going on to further education in Glasgow is higher than in the previous year.
