Lanarkshire Mosque Community Support for Refugees
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Lanarkshire Mosque on the welcome and assistance that it has provided to newly arrived refugees from Syria; understands that the mosque community gathered together to provide support and food supplies to those who have fled horrific circumstances in their homeland; recognises what it sees as the valuable community work that the mosque undertakes throughout the local area, and considers that the bestowal of the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in December 2015 reflects the hard work of the community and the dedication of the mosque committee.
