Glasgow in Running for Top Sports City in the World
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that Glasgow is bidding to be named the top sports city in the world; understands that Glasgow has been shortlisted in the SportBusiness Ultimate Sports City Awards, which are internationally recognised and the longest established rankings of the world’s top sports hosts; notes that in 2014 it was ranked eighth in the world and in 2016 it is up against champions such as London, Melbourne, Beijing and Berlin, and wishes it all the best with the nomination.
