Congratulations to the Scottish Junior Male Swimmer of the Year, Ryan Brown

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Ryan Brown from Ednam in the Scottish Borders, who was named Scottish Swimming Junior Male Swimmer of the Year at the Scottish Swimming Awards; understands that Ryan, who is part of the University of the West of Scotland swim team, won the top prize for a young male swimmer in a very competitive year and at a sell-out event in Edinburgh; notes that he was joined by the Olympic and Paralympic medallists, Duncan Scott, Andrew Mullen and Abby Kane, who also received recognition at the ceremony; further notes that Ryan was in good company at the awards, which were attended by other Scotland-based Olympians and Paralympians, including Dan Wallace, Hannah Miley, Robbie Renwick, Stephen Milne, Camilla Hattersley, Stephen Clegg, Scott Quin, Craig Benson and Ross Murdoch, and believes that Ryan has a fantastic future in swimming for Scotland and for Team GB.
