Award Winning Academy of Make-up to Open in Aberdeen
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the announcement that Sara Hill’s multi award-winning Academy of Make-up is to open a branch in the north east following two years of running ad-hoc academy courses in Aberdeen salons; understands that the new branch will provide a range of training courses in TV and film make-up, as well as bridal workshops and bespoke studio space for local photographers to hone their craft; notes that Sara has worked with global superstars, such as Kanye West and Emeli Sande, as well as internationally renowned fashion brands, including Alexander McQueen and Paul Smith; recognises that Sara’s flagship branch has trained hundreds of people in the art of cosmetics; further recognises that students have travelled from all over the world to participate in the academy courses, and believes that the academy’s international reputation will attract increased tourism and investment to the region, representing a boost for the local economy.
