20th Anniversary of the Gordon Highlanders Museum
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the 20th anniversary of the Gordon Highlanders Museum; understands that over 700,000 people have visited the museum since its relaunch in 1997; commends the 12 permanent staff and around 150 volunteers who it believes continue to passionately promote the museum and the history of the north east's most cherished military regiment; understands that the museum hosts 11 of the 19 Victoria Crosses awarded to the regiment, and notes that the anniversary will be marked by free entry on 8 April 2017.
