Congratulations to Hawick's Stuart Hogg, 2017 Lions Squad
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Hawick’s Stuart Hogg on his selection to the British and Irish Lions squad for the 2017 New Zealand Tour; notes that Hogg is one of two Scottish players to have been picked; congratulates Glasgow Warrior’s Tommy Seymour on his selection; believes that to be part of the British and Irish Lions squad is a fantastic achievement for Hogg, who was widely praised for his performance for Scotland at the Six Nations Championship and subsequently named as player of the championship for the second year in a row; considers that he is a fantastic ambassador for Borders rugby, which has a long history of producing international players, and wishes him and the rest of the squad a very successful tour.
