Nuart Street Art Festival
The motion
That the Parliament commends the Nuart street art festival on reinvigorating parts of Aberdeen city centre and attracting more visitors to the area; notes comments from local eateries and retailers that the festival increased, and in some cases doubled, the footfall to their businesses; understands that groups of more than 100 people gathered around The Green to view the largest pieces in a guided tour format; further understands that street artists such as Nipper, Add Fuel and Herakut showcased some of their latest work at the festival; recognises that the event in Aberdeen was the first time that it had been staged outside of Norway, and welcomes talks to stage Nuart Aberdeen 2018, following the success of this event.
