Robert Gordon University to Honour Caroline Phillips
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Robert Gordon University on it receiving the Stories, Stones and Bones grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund; notes that this will be used toward a £8,300 project about suffragettes in the north east; understands that this will focus on the work of the journalist and women’s rights activist, Caroline Phillips, who served as the secretary of the Women’s Social and Political Union branch in Aberdeen during the early 20th century, and encourages everyone interested in viewing a large collection of Caroline's work to visit the Aberdeen Art Gallery, where this will be on display.
