Motion · S5M-15546 · 23 Jan 2019
Fife Gingerbread
The motion
That the Parliament regrets that Fife Gingerbread, due to a lack of funding, is in the process of taking measures that will potentially reduce its staffing levels from 41 to 14; understands that this would mean that up to 253 of the 348 families that it works with, will potentially no longer receive support and that there is unlikely to be any other provision in Fife to step in to support the most vulnerable families; understands that this will leave 72 children very likely to be facing social work intervention, thereby putting further strain on those services, and encourages all partners to come together to seek solutions to the financial pressures that Fife Gingerbread faces.
