Lifetime Commitment Honour for Rhu's Terence Brownrigg
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Terence Brownrigg, an international sailing judge from Rhu, on being awarded a Lifetime Commitment Honour by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA); understands that Terence retires in 2019, his 30th year as RYA’s rules adviser; notes that he has had a longstanding and experienced career in sailing, which includes his role within the Dragon One Design Class and the Flying Fifteen Class; recognises his involvement in committees, especially those under the Clyde Yacht Clubs Association, and his voluntary work, evident in his positions as Rear Commodore Sailing, Vice Commodore and Commodore for the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club; appreciates that Terence has made a marked contribution, not just to sailing in Scotland, but on an international scale, and wishes him well for the future.
