Lee Steen Wins a Bronze Medal at the Shipyard Apprentice of the Year Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the BAE Systems apprentice, Lee Steen, who is from Clydebank, on winning a bronze medal at the prestigious Shipyard Apprentice of the Year Awards; understands that he was shortlisted from more than 100 candidates to undertake an intensive, week-long course and assessment, which included interviews, presentations, raft building and a 24-hour expedition; notes that he was then one of six finalists chosen to compete in the final in London, and commends him on carrying on the great tradition of excellence in shipbuilding and marine engineering for which Clydebank is renowned.
