The Coalfields Employment Initiative
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the Coalfields Employment Initiative, which has been launched by the Coalfields Regeneration Trust in partnership with the Alloa-based charity, Community Maintenance and Environmental Enterprise (CMEE), to help unemployed young people; notes that CMEE, which has been delivering training, work experience, volunteering opportunities as well as affordable gardening, decorating and handyman services since 2004, is offering the young residents a chance to gain paid work experience and qualifications; understands that five have already started working around the Kincardine area on a programme that consists of one month of volunteering followed by eight weeks of paid work, and wishes everyone involved with what it sees as this excellent initiative the very best of luck.
