The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) on receiving a Secure by Design Award from Police Scotland; understands that the group was recognised for ensuring the safety of new homes at the Castle Wood Court site in Helensburgh, including its attention to design, security and development measures that aim to reduce the chances of antisocial behaviour and crime; notes that this housing development, which was built by Calum Williamson Ltd and designed by Lawrence Hill, a Helensburgh-based architect, was funded by the Scottish Government, ACHA and Argyll and Bute Council; welcomes the commitment made by the ACHA to community safety, evident in this award, and commends the group on its endeavours.
