Equal Midlothian Week
The motion
That the Parliament notes that 4 to 9 March 2019 is Equal Midlothian Week; understands that it will feature free events and workshops designed to educate and inform about equalities issues and promote openness and inclusivity; notes that the programme is being presented by a wide range of organisations and that events will be held at various locations across the region; acknowledges that the overall goal of the week is to promote a more equal Midlothian and allow communities to reach out and connect; recognises what it sees as the importance of this event in promoting a more inclusive Scotland, and thanks all of the groups involved with the week for their valuable contributions.
