Scale-up Award for Shetland Distillery Company
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Shetland Distillery Company, which is in Unst, on being awarded the Scale-up Business of the Year at the FSB Scotland Small Business Awards; notes that its Saxa Vord Distillery is the UK’s northernmost and has experienced remarkable growth, particularly with the production of Shetland Reel gin; recognises the hard work of Frank and Debbie Strang, Stuart and Wilma Nickerson, and the distillery team, on making this growth possible, and wishes the company continued success, including with its plans to install Shetland’s first single malt distillery.
