Interest Link Borders Shortlisted for the National Youth Work Awards 2019
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Interest Link Borders on being shortlisted for the National Youth Work Awards 2019; notes that Interest Link Borders supports 100 children and young people with learning disabilities each year, providing both one-to-one befriending and group sessions with a range of activities, from pottery classes to glamping breaks; understands that this seeks to address social isolation and loneliness, provide respite for carers and to help young people improve their self-esteem and wellbeing; believes that none of this would be possible without its dedicated and skilled youth workers, and wishes all involved the best of luck for the awards ceremony on 13 March 2019 in Glasgow.
