National Youth Work Awards Nomination for Shetland Islands Council Youth Services
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Shetland Islands Council Youth Services on being nominated for Scotland’s Youth Work Team of the Year 2019; understands that the team is the first point of contact for all youth services in Shetland, including Young Scot Shetland, the Scottish Youth Parliament Shetland Constituency and the Duke of Edinburgh Award; notes that this nomination recognises the team's outstanding work with the isles' young people, including supporting the organisation of the 70 plus events held across Shetland during the Year of Young People 2018; believes that the team has done a remarkable job bringing together and involving young people from across the isles, and wishes the team all the best in its ongoing working helping young people to turn ideas into reality.
