Lest We Forget Exhibition Held at Heritage Centre
The motion
That the Parliament commends the Garioch Heritage Centre in Inverurie for hosting the recent Embroiderer’s Guild Lest We Forget exhibition; notes the usage of textiles to show the comradeship, bravery, victory and setbacks told by those returning from the First World War or within heartfelt letters sent home; notes the importance of the exhibition for the remembrance of the regiments that fought together, and of the family members' fondly remembered songs and words that kept their spirits up, and welcomes the truly positive contribution that the exhibition has made.
