Mike and Sheila Stark Named Citizens of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Peebles couple, Mike and Sheila Stark, on being named Tweeddale Citizens of the Year; understands that Mike and Sheila were given the recognition for their impressive contribution to charity, having spent over 17 years raising money for Poppyscotland; notes that they have raised over £100,000 for the charity and were instrumental in the purchasing of Tommy silhouettes for the Peebles War Memorial; thanks Mike and Sheila for all their hard work, and wishes them the best in their future endeavours.
