Street to be Named After the Late Adam Kelly OBE
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges that a street in Galashiels is to be named after the late Adam Kelly OBE, who was the UK’s longest-serving ice cream man; notes that Adam, who was presented with the Legion d’Honneur for his role in the D-Day Landings, retired in 2016 at the age of 93, having worked as an ice cream man for over 50 years, and understands that the street will be part of the new Melrose Gait development and is to be called Adam Kelly Place.
