Neidpath Viaduct Plaque
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that, thanks to a generous donation by Gerry Rossi from Peebles, and with additional funding from the Gutterbluids Society, the Peebles Callants’ Club and the Wemyss estate, a plaque has been installed on the historic Neidpath Viaduct to honour its designer, Robert Murray, who was also from Peebles; acknowledges that it also explains how the viaduct, which opened in 1864, is considered to be one of the finest skew arch constructions in Scotland, and thanks everyone involved in preserving this important piece of Peebles' history.
