Christine Hannay, Florist of the Year for South Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Christine Hannay, who owns the Galashiels-based Scent Flowers, on winning the Florist of the Year for South Scotland category at the Scottish Wedding Awards; understands that, after training in floristry, Christine worked in several florists before setting up her own business in 2014; acknowledges that she has tripled her wedding bookings over the last two years and has been awarded the contract for the 2019 Galashiels Braw Lads’ Gathering, which will be held in the summer, and wishes Christine and her business all the best.
