Early Years Scotland Receives £317,084
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Early Years Scotland in Glasgow on receiving £317,084 from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the group will use the funding to support families with children aged five and under where a parent is in prison; notes that activities will include an educational programme for fathers, facilitated family visits and pre-visit sessions to help families feel more relaxed about their surroundings, and considers that the three-year project will help parents build knowledge and confidence and create a positive environment for families to bond.
