SIC Youth Services Youth Work Team of the Year 2019
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Shetland Islands Council Youth Services on winning Scotland’s Youth Work Team of the Year 2019 at the National Youth Works Awards in Glasgow on 13 March 2019; notes that Shetland has a long history of youth work and believes that this award is thoroughly deserved recognition of that history and all that the team has achieved this year, including hosting The BIG Takeover as part of the Year of Young People and creating the new mural at the bus station in Lerwick; recognises that youth work can be as challenging as it is rewarding and pays tribute to the hard work of all the nominees, and wishes them success for the year ahead.
