North East Police Memorial Service
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the North East of Scotland Police Memorial Service, which will be held at St Mark's Cathedral in Aberdeen on 16 March 2019 to remember the many officers and staff who have died while in service with Police Scotland and its predecessor forces, including the Elginshire Constabulary, Aberdeen City Police, Aberdeenshire Constabulary, the Scottish North Eastern Counties Constabulary and Grampian Police; understands that 101 names will be read out and that candles will be lit to represent their lives; offers its sympathy and support to the staff and relatives who will come together to remember those who have passed away, and notes that the service is open to anyone who wishes to attend.
