Stonehouse Girlguides Period Poverty Campaign
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the 1st Stonehouse Girlguides Rangers section on completing its end period poverty badges; understands that, as part of its activities, the group heard from and collected donations for Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire; agrees that Girl Guides across Scotland have been instrumental in the campaign to end period poverty by calling for people to talk openly about their periods to help reduce stigma and for all young people to learn about periods in school; recognises what it sees as the importance of Girlguiding UK and its campaigns for social action, and wishes it every success in its continued campaign to end period poverty and reduce stigma.
