Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre's Dog Park
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre on opening the region's first dedicated, segregated and safe dog park; notes that it will be open from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm every day to allow owners to let their pets off the lead in a secure environment; believes that this will help to promote responsible ownership and reduce the number of animals running away or attacking livestock; understands that staff from the centre will be on hand to assist and provide tips to owners regarding training and advice concerning other canine issues; wishes all involved with the park every success, and encourages dog owners from across the area to make use of it.
