Lottery Funding for Arthur’s Group
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Arthur’s Group, which is based in Coatbridge, on its recent award of £4,975 from the Awards for All Scotland programme; understands that this funding will allow the group to take forward a community-based social inclusion project that will provide a weekly activity programme, which will benefit people in the local area experiencing social exclusion due to old age, chronic ill-health, low income, loneliness, lack of family support and the need for additional support; notes that the activities to be offered include exercise classes, art and crafts, board games and outdoor trips; welcomes the work of Arthur’s Group in its work to reduce social isolation, and wishes all involved the very best for the future.
