Clovenfords Primary Pupils are Euroquiz Champions
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Clovenfords Primary School on taking top prize in the Borders heat of the 2019 Euroquiz competition, having won against Kingsland Primary School in the final round; notes that the competition is organised annually by the Scottish European Educational Trust for pupils from across Scotland who are questioned on a wide range of subjects including history, geography, sport, culture, languages and the EU; understands that 19 primary schools from the Borders took part including Channelkirk, Earlston, Halyrude, Melrose, St Ronan’s, Walkerburn and West Linton; considers that all the pupils taking part in this competition have displayed commendable knowledge, and wishes Clovenfords Primary School the best of luck in the final, which will be held in the Parliament in May 2019.
