Forth Valley Schools and Teacher Nominated for Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the chemistry teacher, Katie Sharp, from Denny High School, on being shortlisted for the 2019 Scottish Education Awards; understands that Katie, who runs the school’s STEM club, has received a nomination for the coveted Teacher of the Year Award, which recognises teachers who "bring learning to life"; congratulates Larbert High School, which has been nominated in the Parents as Partners in Learning category for its pioneering work with parents; further congratulates St Mungo’s High School in Falkirk, which has been nominated for a Digital Learning and Teaching award, and notes that this year’s Scottish Education Awards will take place on 5 June at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel in Glasgow.
