SiMY Community Development Lottery Success
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates SiMY Community Development, which is based in the Glasgow Kelvin constituency, on its success in securing £97,334 from the most recent Young Start funding programme delivered by the Big Lottery Fund; understands that the group will use the funding to deliver a programme of activities for young people aged eight to 24 from Townhead and the surrounding areas, providing opportunities for outdoor activities, creative arts, educational support, volunteering and community projects; commends the aims of the programme to help young people build resilience and coping skills, improve physical and emotional wellbeing, learn new skills and gain new experiences, and wishes the staff, volunteers and service users at SiMY Community Development continued success.
