Haddo Arts Receives £24,000 from Udny Community Trust
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Haddo Arts on receiving a grant of £24,000 over three years from the Udny Community Trust; understands that the grant will help Haddo Arts continue its partnership with McOpera; recognises that the partnership sees professional musicians from the Orchestra of Scottish Musicians collaborate with children from schools in the area to create and rehearse new songs based on the history of Haddo, which will then be performed at the annual Haddo Arts Festival; acknowledges that the funding is provided by the local community-owned wind turbine and that, since 2012, the fund has paid out over £400,000 in grants; commends the work of Haddo Arts and the Udny Community Trust, and wishes everyone involved well.
