Success for Derek McKenzie at the Special Olympics
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Derek McKenzie, who is from Kilbowie, on his bronze medal-winning performance in the 5km cycling time-trial at the 2019 Special Olympics World Games; understand that this year’s event in Abu Dhabi is the biggest in the games' history with 7,000 athletes from 90 different countries taking part; recognises the tremendous amount of hard work and dedication that goes in to achieving this level of performance, and wishes Derek continued success.
