1st Bearsden BB Pipe Band
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the pipe band from 1st Bearsden Boys’ Brigade (BB) company on being awarded first place in the BB Scottish Bands Contest Pipe Development category; understands that the nine-member band won the national title at the contest in Hutcheson Grammar School in Glasgow in front of an audience of more than 300; notes that, since it started in 1980, more than 12,000 young people aged from 7 to 18 have performed at the prestigious event; recognises the hard work and dedication of all of the musicians and their tutors in reaching this level of expertise, and wishes them, and the Bearsden band, continued success.
