Wester Hailes Library Delivery Service
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the launch by Wester Hailes Library of a new delivery service for housebound people; understands that the library will deliver, collect and return books, audio books and music to the houses of people unable to attend their library; recognises that those who are housebound have fewer alternative opportunities to pursue interests and are likely to be in greater need of library services, and considers that this service will also help alleviate social isolation and improve health and wellbeing.
