Success for Shannon McGhee in Special Olympics World Games
The motion
That the Parliament commends the tremendous achievement of Shannon McGhee from Clydebank, who along with her unified partner, came fourth in Division 3 of the sailing competition at the Abu Dhabi Special Olympics World Games; notes that 50 sailors from 19 different countries took part in the competition on the Persian Gulf; recognises that conditions in Abu Dhabi were very different to those that Shannon is used to in Scotland; congratulates her on the way that she stepped up to this challenge and wishes Shannon, her unified partner, her team mates and coaches continued success.
