Dundee Pensioners’ Forum
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Dundee Pensioners’ Forum on winning Age Scotland’s 2019 Jess Barrow Award for Campaigning and Influencing; understands that the forum, which campaigns on a number of issues of importance to older people, including state pensions, was recognised for its pioneering work in tackling funeral poverty; believes that it is a model for citizens’ campaigning groups around Scotland, and wishes the forum every success in its campaigning to make Dundee a better place for older people to live.
