Hollie Nelson, Age Scotland's Young Volunteer of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Hollie Nelson, who volunteers at the Golden Day Club in Castle Douglas, on winning the Age Scotland 2019 Young Volunteer of the Year Award at the Age Scotland National Conference and Awards Ceremony on 20 March; notes that this award recognises a young person who works voluntarily to improve the lives of older people by continually going the “extra mile” and who demonstrates unwavering commitment to supporting the interests of older people; notes that Hollie has volunteered at the club for several years, helping support group activities and enabling older people to expand their IT skills, and wishes her continued success and happiness.
