Westfield Farms Success at Scottish Rural Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Westfield Farms on winning the Business Diversification award at the recent Scottish Rural Awards; understands that the family business is focused on creating innovative and nutritious produce; recognises that the business was the first in Scotland to bring cold-pressed rapeseed oil to market, and that it produces its award-winning Westfield Spelt flour; acknowledges that the farm also owns The Green Grocer in Inverurie, which stocks speciality foods from local suppliers; recognises the importance that diversification can have to the success of the family-run farms that are crucial to Scotland’s agricultural sector; applauds Westfield Farms on its success, and wishes all concerned well.
