The Scottish SPCA
The motion
That the Parliament commends the Scottish SPCA on its work throughout 2018 when it rescued 19,532 animals, found homes for 5,068, rehabilitated and released 5,642 back into the wild and reunited 984 lost animals with their owners; notes that the Scottish SPCA helpline answered 202,452 calls throughout the year, while inspectors and rescue officers attended over 90,000 incidents; welcomes plans to expand the hugely successful education programme and the continuation of measures to tackle the illegal puppy trade, and wishes the organisation’s staff, volunteers, members and supporters well in this, its 180th year.
