Asda Green Token Giving
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes funding from Asda’s Green Token Giving programme through its stores in Grangemouth and Stenhousemuir; understands that Cash for Kids and Alzheimer Scotland won the customer vote and will each receive £500, while the Forth Bridges Accordion Band, Grange Centre Playgroup, Stenhousemuir Primary School Parent Council and Home-Start Falkirk West all received £200 as runners-up; notes that all funds will be put to good use within the local communities in the Falkirk East constituency and the wider Falkirk district; recognises that the Asda Foundation invested more than £370,000 in community projects and good causes in 2018; encourages more community groups to get involved in the Green Token Giving programme to seek funding from the Asda Foundation to support them in their work within communities, and looks forward to hearing more about the winners and runners-up and their projects in Falkirk district.
