Golden Jubilee Foundation Expansion Plan
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the start of the first phase of the Golden Jubilee Foundation expansion plan, with work to build the new dedicated cataract unit expected to be completed by summer 2020; understands that the unit at the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank will harness the Golden Jubilee ophthalmic model of care to provide an excellent quality of service and patient experience for a minimum of 18,000 people per year by 2035, and looks forward to phase two of the expansion plan, which will include provision for additional orthopaedic, general surgery and diagnostic endoscopy.
