International Women's Group
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the International Women's Group in Maryhill and Springburn on receiving a £94,930 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the group will use the funding to run a range of activities to improve the wellbeing and skills of minority ethnic women in Glasgow; acknowledges that activities will include sewing classes, dance classes, cultural events, counselling and financial literacy workshops, and notes that this three-year project will benefit 180 women and involve 30 volunteers.
