Play Alloa Awarded £110,000 by BBC Children in Need Fund
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Play Alloa, a popular Wee County charity, has been awarded £110,000 from the BBC Children in Need Fund; understands that this money will be used to help provide leisure and social opportunities for disabled people and those with additional support needs; notes that this will also ensure that Saturday play sessions for youngsters, which take place in Alloa and Menstrie, will be able to continue for the next three years; further notes that the sessions support around 50 families by providing children with the opportunity for play, arts and crafts, and physical and outdoors activities and which aim to develop their social interaction skills, help them to build friendships and challenge them to build confidence and self-esteem, and sends its best wishes for the future to all involved.
