Marie Curie Dundee Fundraiser
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Dundee Marie Curie Daredevil Challenge on its successful annual abseil fundraiser, which has helped raise more than £100,000 over nine years; understands that interest in the challenge has grown over the last decade and that over 500 people signed up to take part in 2010; notes that this contribution has enabled the charity to pay for more than 5,000 hours of high-quality hands-on nursing care for terminally ill people at home, at the end of life across NHS Tayside; recognises the important work of Marie Curie, and looks forward to its continued support for cancer patients and their families.
