That the Parliament congratulates the Royal Infirmary in Glasgow on being named one of the top 100 hospitals in the world and one of the top 10 in the UK, according to research by the international magazine, Newsweek; understands that the list was compiled from recommendations from medical professionals, patient surveys, manager and healthcare surveys and medical performance indicators; acknowledges that the hospital, which was founded in 1794, beat-off stiff international competition to achieve this ranking, and commends the hardworking and dedicated staff on the excellent care that they provide for their patients.
