Lodged by Bill Kidd Standard Motion 15 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament notes the findings of the Education Scotland inspection report of St Thomas Aquinas Secondary School, which is in the Glasgow Anniesland constituency; understands that the inspection team found that the headteacher has a strong focus on raising attainment and maximising each young person’s potential, that middle leaders lead change and improvement well across their respective departments and support high levels of attainment and that the pupils benefit well from the curriculum, which supports them in preparation for leaving school, with a breadth of curriculum option choices that supports positive attainment outcomes for all; notes that the school was recognised as "Good" in three quality indicator areas, Teaching and Assessment, Leadership of Change, and Ensuring Wellbeing, Equality and Inclusion, and that it was marked "Very Good" in the category, Raising Attainment and Achievement, and congratulates the staff, pupils and parents on what it considers to be these excellent results.
